[Music] hi my name is Kent and I'm with Sennheiser I focus on the worship market on education and development today we're going to talk about RF wireless systems meaning in ear monitors and wireless microphones and how to optimize those systems first we want to talk about antennas if you've used a wireless microphone system you've probably seen a rod antenna this is typically what ships in the box with a wireless microphone system and if it's a diversity system there will be two of these in the Box these are the most basic type of antenna and can work fine we also have external antennas available such as this paddle which is a directional antenna that's designed for external use and it's connected via an external cable to the receiver there are also omnidirectional versions of these external antennas and a couple other of types that we'll discuss in a moment the most basic idea or first
