okay this is about solving an issue in the sennheiser k6 power module it has a small design flaw i bought this unit used thankfully i had another one to verify that this was the issue but i was getting either on battery power or phantom power this is the unit taken apart this is the battery compartment on the k6 uh power module take a case battery double a battery power or phantom power um i was getting a nasty uh hum and then a pop and then the microphone would totally drop out i verified it wasn't the microphone head it is this unit i was taking it around the house and i noticed that i found this on other websites this is how to fix this this is the unit assembled on the back of the unit this would be where the xlr plug is there's a screw here and it was very very slightly loose if you looked at it you wouldn't think it was loose in order to feel loose to the touch but it needed to be
