hello I'm the product manager at yard gear.com today I'm going to take you through installing your new trimmer head first remove your existing trimmer head lock the rotation of the trimmer shaft securely with the screwdriver or wrench unscrew the entire trimmer head assembly by hand exposing the threaded shaft identify which nut threads easily onto the shaft open the trimmer head by using the tabs place the metal washer onto the threaded shad insert the round end of the nut into the hex cavity of the upper body housing while holding the nut screw the upper body housing onto the shaft ensure there is no gap if so the quarter-inch plastic washer will be needed securely tighten the trimmer head by hand reassemble the trimmer head to load the trimmer line align the arrows with the aisles insert the trimmer line through the island pull the line through to ensure both ends are of equal length
