so to install a typical transom mount transducer you would generally install the bracket in its latched position to do all your markups and markups on the transom of course now I need to remove that bracket in order to do the final installation so I can drill through those holes and follow the manufacturer's instructions so to release this bracket underneath here there's a small slot on either side designed to insert a screwdriver so I'll insert a screwdriver into one and gently pry up on that latch I'm gonna put another screwdriver in the opposite side and pry the latch up from that side and now I can use my fingers to slowly push the bracket out and once that brackets even started it can just be easily removed from there and now I'm ready to drill my holes on the transom
