just shooting a quick video on this HDMI tester practical tests so I'm sacrificing one of my wires here so if I push into this wire I don't believe I've cut the wires yet but what I do see as the transmitter gets a little brighter and the receiver goes out I'm assuming that's due to a short circuit because if I let off it comes back just starting to get through the shield wire and into the conductors so I'm gonna cut a little further here and see what happens okay it seems to keep going back but give her a little more oh that looks better okay now if I let off let's see oh yeah so now we must have some open circuits on those too interesting so mess it up a little more here and I'll see what happens well that would certainly be a bad cable it's interesting that the these light up during a short so that's that's nice too that it does display that difference between an open and a short whi
