that early days the facility was very primitive no fancy nothing but it was fast basically it's a road course so you uphill downhill left right you look at pictures of this place going through corners and the right-hand corner the cars eight or nine inches up in the air on the right side 100 miles an hour and that's exciting Speedway Motorsports bought this track in 1996 it's when we really graduated from minor leagues to the big leagues we moved over 10 million cubic yards of dirt to Reece Culp the land around the facility to put in all these beautiful amphitheater style seats put on big league events Jeff Gordon makes it look so easy I love it I love it I never dreamed yet to see it it's rewarding and to be honest it is kind of emotional I don't mean a tearful emotional but it makes my heart beat pretty good when I pull up to gate one down here and drive through it pretty special over
