so in my quest to get better audio and all that kind of thing just make the rig a bit easier to kind of travel around with or a bit more simpler to put together I'm gonna try out a different microphone today so it's the Sony ECN gz1 M it's kind of a shotgun mic it's a special little hotshoe kind of type plate at the bottom so it's only going to work on a Sony camera or camcorder and specific models as well so just check it out before you go and order it it's basically a gun mic but also it's got a zoom function on as well so I just wanted to see if it was going to be easier to set up and run and sort of gun with it so he also bought this little extra dead cat to go with it as well so you take the foam bit off you squeeze the dead cat in there and it's supposed to give absolute kind of you know wind coverage then so it's going to go through and test all that kind of thing as well I'm goi
