[Music] hey everyone Steinmetz and today's video I'm checking out the Tamron 2875 F 2.8 lens and I've been here since lens for the past couple weeks so I just want to share my first impressions with you and the first thing you'll probably notice about this lens is that's 28 275 rather than a 2470 that you'll typically see on these lenses and I'm okay with that decision I think they knew who the type of customer they're gonna have for this lens a lot of portrait and wedding photographers use their 24 70 s and so with this lens that it goes to 75 you're getting a little bit at that telephoto end but you're also losing a little bit at the wide end and I think portrait photographers are gonna be okay with that they're generally shooting between 50 and 135 anyways so gaining a little bit on the telephoto end is probably a plus for them and for me personally I was shooting this lens at 75 alm
