this is Sony's first 4k consumer camcorder so what's 4k it's a video resolution that's twice as wide and twice as tall as Full HD HD is 1080 pixels tall on TV 4k sometimes called Ultra HD is 3840 by 2160 pixels about 8 megapixels in still camera terms cinema 4k is slightly wider 4096 pixels I'm showing you as if 4k was a larger image but really it's a sharper clearer image think apples Retina display this image was recorded at HD you can kind of tell it's raining because it looks misty and the surface of the water isn't clear now 4k you can see the rain in the air and the ripples on the water surface the difference is striking but you won't be able to see it unless you're watching on a 4k TV which will soon become affordable over the last few weeks I've shot interviews music performances Scenic's a wide variety of footage I'm going to show you some of that footage share some observation
