hey folks your os reviews you're watching our retro review of the sony prs 950. this is a digital e-book reader released by sony in 2011 and remains the only model from the japanese manufacturer to have wireless connectivity options such as wi-fi and 3g on board back then it sold for a hefty 300 more expensive than the amazon kindle and the nook otherwise there is a 7-inch ink display on the front which acts just like paper and unlike a lot of capacitive or resistive screens we may see on the market today this one had an interesting infrared touchscreen so there's a series of lines that are invisible to the naked eye but you can see how the screen here is actually offset it inserts into the unit so it's not flush with the surface but whenever you have a finger or stylus let's say some type of object blocking the light from passing through the device knows what point on the screen you're
