i'm richard butler from dp review and this is the sony rx100 the rx100 caused quite a stir by fitting a large sensor into a compact body despite its small size it features a useful 28 to 100 millimeter equivalent zoom image quality is excellent and while others come close there's no other compact that really outperforms it however the slower aperture at the longer end of the zoom means it's not unassailably better than other enthusiast compacts focus and operation are fast and our only real criticism of the rx100 is that the lack of feedback from the control dial can make it a little unengaging to shoot with overall its balance of flexibility compactness and image quality should put the rx100 at or at least near the top of your shopping list if you're after a pocketable camera or a big step up from your current compact hi i'm claude from sony with a new rx100 cybershot camera the rx100
