okay so we're gonna use this speed square we're gonna look at this so we get this on here we put this down here nice and snug okay and we have this lined up this is lined up exactly right right to the edge so we have this exactly on and we are measuring about two degrees off almost three but a good - good two degrees off and we are spot on with our angle so now we'll check the speed square with our other protractor so we'll take the speed square and we'll put this protractor on here and okay so that's on there good and we see here that that is spot-on forty-five degrees so the speed square is good this protractor is good this one's off by that much those zeros should be aligned it was enough to really screw me up when I was building a fence I couldn't get the angle right putting the cross braces in on the fence till I finally realize that this is what was screwing me up i miter saw was
