Description
Spectrum Perf, Color: Beige 1/8 18 x 24 in (Pack of 4)Responsive splinting material that puts you in control, splint after splint. With moderate resistance to stretch, NCM Spectrum™ resists stretching caused by gravity. When purposely stretched, NCM Spectrum™ thins evenly so it can be used to make all types of splints with intimate fit and support.A moderate degree of drape keeps the splinter in control throughout the molding process. With smooth, firm handling, NCM Spectrum™ conforms closely around small contours for an optimal fit.NCM Spectrum™ has moderate memory. Splints can be reheated repeatedly without thinning. Material springs back slightly to help support weak parts during molding. The splint will not become stretched on its own.Molded splints retain moderate to firm rigidity. Splints will give slightly against strong force and will resist breaking.Slightly tacky surface when warm helps hold the splint in place while molding. Traditional coating prevents accidental bonding to itself or adherence to bandages or other materials. Forms a strong bond when dry heated and pressed together firmly. Use solvent to remove coating and dry heat to form a permanent bond so that outriggers and other attachments stay firmly in place.Unique smooth and silky finish resists fingerprinting. If pressure marks appear, they can be smoothed away by gently rubbing the surface while the splint is warm.Features unique memory and stretch that is ideal for circumferential splints, neurological splints, all hand and wrist splinting, as well as for fracture bracing, lower extremity positioning splints and pediatric, non-weightbearing AFOs.Working time: allows three to five minutes of molding time to fully set up.
