right here's the bottom plate or bottom board I guess you call it of the Thorens turntable so here's the original one you can see how thin and flimsy it is and of course it's just like a hard board kind of thing and as you can see there's a number of holes in it which are for the the transport screws where you screw down the suspension system so it doesn't bounce around during travel and also you have another couple screws not sure what those are for I know that those two are the suspension screws these I think they're just for another adjustment not sure what and then of course you've got the notches for the cables the power cable and the RCA jacks that come out from the bottom of the of the arm and and the power supply so what I've done is I've translated that I went to Corona actually it's now called Lowe's they bought a moat I bought a big sheet of half-inch MDF I was going to go th
