STM-2 - Stick-On Series Single Channel, Low-Noise Microphone Preamplifier with Dual Outputs

[Music] hey guys Travis here and today I am talking about one of my favorite preamps that is the Avalon m5 single channel mono preamp if you're not familiar with this preamp you might be more familiar with the stereo version which is near-identical the 2022 the m5 was actually the predecessor to that model came out first and really set the stage and the kind of famous tone that if you're familiar with the 20 22 you've heard and probably had fallen in love with the sound of this preamp again why is it my favorite it makes things sound quite simply larger-than-life and it's flexible enough in terms of its sound that I you know this sounds like a loaded phrase but I've really never heard something run through this that this preamp hasn't made it sound better you know it has it's actually a transformer based preamp but it also has a very very clean sound which to some people might be contra
