This medicine kit contains a total of 24 medicine tablets in 12 packets of medicine. Although you can purchase most over the counter medicines like this at any convenience store or CVS or Walgreens, we always advise you to consult a doctor prior to using even over the counter medicine. This medicine is made by Medique which I personally feel has much safer and milder inactive ingredients than the name brands so this is always my go-to medicine of choice. And you can often only find name brands at the local store so that's something to consider. CONTENTS LIST: 3 packets [6 tablets] of Medi-Lyte electrolyte replenisher which contains Calcium, Potassium, and Magnesium), 3 packets [6 tablets] of Diotame (which is Bismuth Subsalicylate which is the generic of Pepto Bismol chewable tablets), 3 packets [6 tablets] of Antacid anti-gas and bloating which is comprised primarily of calcium carbonate just like Tums brand antacid is, and 3 packets [6 tablets] of Non-Aspirin which consists of acetaminophen and compares with Tylenol brand acetaminophen tablets. EXTENDED DRUG DETAILS: Medi-Lyte is an electrolyte combination. It works by replacing electrolytes in the body, thereby decreasing fatigue, muscle cramps, or heat exhaustion due to excessive sweating. Antacid is used to relieve symptoms of extra gas such as belching, bloating, and feelings of pressure/discomfort in the stomach/gut, including heart burn. Diotame is used to treat occasional upset stomach, heartburn, and nausea. It is also used to treat diarrhea and help prevent travelers' diarrhea. It works by helping to slow the growth of bacteria that might be causing the diarrhea. Non-Aspirin or Acetaminophen is a general pain relief medicine and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory.
