ACCESSIBILITY MEDICAL – TUB TRANSFER BENCH: TRANSFER CHAIR DETAILS: Aluminium Frame (holds up to 330 lbs) 27” Long x 20” Wide x 31-35” Height Non-Slip Rubber FeetOUR MISSION:As a non-profit, Accessibility Medical Equipment is supported by generous donations of medical equipment from individuals and organizations throughout the Kansas City metropolitan community. In addition, we receive a grant from the Missouri Assistive Technology Advisory Council to support our equipment recycling and reuse program. This community support, Accessibility Medical is able to assist individuals with disabilities of all ages, seniors, those with temporary medical equipment needs, and the organizations who serve them to be able to provide equipment that would otherwise be beyond their reach due to a lack of insurance coverage, coverage for the particular items that they need, and to allow limited budgets to stretch further to have a greater positive impact on the lives of those who need medical equipment, whether as a medical necessity or for improved quality of life.br>STORY AMONG MANY:Daniel retired approximately two years ago and his health declined suddenly only a year later. He now needs assistive technology to maintain his mobility and freedom.Daniel was excited to find an affordable power wheelchair that lifts straight up vertically because he will now be able to reach and use his upper cupboards again. The tilt, recline, and elevating largest features will help relieve swelling in his legs and provide comfortable alternatives to the constant seat pressure that many wheelchair users experience and find problematic and uncomfortable.Daniel stated that he only had access to this type of electric wheelchair through Accessibility Medical, and was “very satisfied” with the program that makes these types of devices available to him and many other Missourians.
