Swarovski Optik Eye Shield for All EL's and SLC's (Black)

[Music] about 15 years ago a group of us from the outdoorsman's met with this Swarovski Austria's sales and marketing team with the intent to convince them to build a 15 by 56 at the time they were making an 8 56 and really we felt if they built a 15 on that same frame that we could sell a bunch of these binoculars the sales pitch worked they built them for us and over the years we've sold a bunch of these binoculars now this is the third rendition the latest version of this 1556 and in my opinion one of the greatest improvements was the incorporation of an avid Koenig prism what this prism system does it allows two fewer air to land surfaces which improves the light transmission so this binocular the new version actually has 6 percent greater light transmission than the previous model did the other thing it does allow is shorten the system up so it's obviously a much more compact short
