all right so a client of mine has brought me their HP all-in-one computer because it's running very very slow the model number on this is 23 - q1 to zero the reason this computer is running slow is that it has a hard drive in it as opposed to a solid-state drive a hard drive means that the storage drive the main storage drive has a physical spinning disk with a little read/write arm and in most cases in just about all cases and computers that's the slowest part you can have a very really fast processor and tons of RAM but if everything is running off of a hard drive it's going to be slow there's really just no way around it the good news is that it's fairly easy to do with the upgrade and it's not very expensive if you don't if you're not sure whether your computer has a hard drive or a solid-state drive in it what you can do is right click on the start button and go to device manager s
