as we continue our series on health related apps for the SmartWatch platform we turn our attention to pedometers now the standalone Android based smart watches like this zgp a xs8 do not have a pedometer person specifically burned into them like you find on some of the less expensive watches but nonetheless it has the sensors you need to be able to run a pedometer and actually you can put much more sophisticated software in here using apps like this one walk log or pedometer when you open it up you have access to a whole bunch of settings which I'm going to show you on the phone because the watch is really tiny platform to play with but we'll come back to this in a minute you need to preset a lot of the stuff first like the units and you want to show steps instead of distance or calories or whatever you like and things like your gender birthday weight and stride your goals and so forth
