welcome to another video today we're looking at the Teac a 40 10 s it's a reel to reel tape deck we got from a neighbor this could be called a vietnam-era tape deck and so it was a pretty common phenomenon for a servicemen traveling overseas or posted overseas to buy and trade audio equipment my neighbor had bought another reel-to-reel and then traded for this Teac with the gallon in the same ship as him and they would trade audio equipment and even he said they'd blow up some cheap speakers for fun and so reel to reels have kind of a cool history with the Vietnam War as some of these books and memoirs show and of course the most famous Vietnam movie Apocalypse Now features to reel to reels one in the opening scene where they're listening to Kurtz and the other in the fine the famous ride of the Valkyries scene dance [Music] so the a40 10 was one of the more popular reel-to-reel decks f
