our old phone stopped working and so we bought a VTech it was the cheapest one at Walmart and we really don't need multiple phones we just needed one and we didn't want anything fancy so we got the base model maybe it was $30 25 but we have been very disappointed with this I thought that all the static that was happening with every call on here was maybe related to wires or interference around in our home but then we had a friend who works and had an IT you know a device that they can check for things like that and wired it directly to his device and it had even though it was direct wired into his system it had all the same static that we've had all along so I was hopeful that it was our problem not v-tex but unfortunately this bottom-of-the-line VTech phone is just almost too staticky to use because we have it we use it but it's very subpar I would not recommend this VTech phone now we
