Terk Satellite Radio/Alpine XM Direct Smart Digital Adapter

today we will be installing an XM direct toolkit for an outline aftermarket head unit in this vehicle we will start at the bottom and work our way up disconnecting power and accessory cables as we go we are using a nylon tool to remove the bezel which surrounds the radio working our way around until the trim comes loose being careful not to apply too much pressure in any one spot then we disconnect the climate control and any other connections and set the trim aside this makes it easy to unscrew then slide the head unit out enough to expose the power and ground wires that we are using the power the XM direct kit using a special clip we tap directly into the switched 12-volt power source as well as the ground being used by the Alpine head unit these connectors crimp on easily without cutting or splicing into the factory harness now we connect the 34 pin cable to the programmable interfac
