the purpose of this short video is to demonstrate the proper installation method for a comm test networks CPE oh one potts splitter the CPE oh one V splitter provides DSL signal separation from the voice line within the customer's residence the CPE o1v can use either single wires or rj11 connectors it is very important to install the CPE splitter at the first segment of the line coming into the premise and not on subsequent phone runs as shown in this diagram the splitter is installed on the first run before the rest of the home wiring the CPE oh one B has three connections a line connection for the incoming line a modem connection for the customers DSL modem and a phone connection for the customers telephone each connection type is shared between an rj11 and insulation displacement connectors known as IDC we will now demonstrate proper wiring of the unit using the rj11 connectors you w
