They actually replace your cable box and will work with cable or an over the air digital antenna. When you’re using your TiVo with your over the air antenna it has built in tuners. When you’re going to use it with cable to replace your cable box you do need to get a cable card from your cable provider. And with your TiVo Premiere HD you can record up to 45 hours of high definition content, or 400 hours of standard definition content. You can record two channels at the same time as well as pause live TV and resume it later. Once you have recorded programs onto the TiVo you can transfer them to your iPhone, your computer or mobile device, and you can actually schedule your recording from your mobile device or computer.
