Tram VHF Marine Antenna

i received and installed the tram vhf antenna today i live about nine miles from charleston harbour and was picking up harbour radio traffic static free i have several marine band weather radios and most always reception is marginal after the install i was receiving the n0a weather channel crystal clear and three other weather band channels tat i've never been able to receive i can't attest to the transmitting abilities at this time but reception is outstanding i'm very satisfied with this purchase don't let the picture deceive you the antenna whip is full length not stubby as it shows in the pick what's included antenna with base one cable one allen wrench to secure the antenna rod to the base load the bolts to mount are 10 millimeters there are no instructions for tuning the antenna to the radio i've bought a bunch of these over the past 10 years for different boats i use on a pontoon
