Supports USB DisplayPort Alternate Mode for Transmitting Audio/Video Signals
With a source device that also supports USB DisplayPort Alt Mode, you can extend video from your primary display to another, duplicate the same video on both displays, or change the second display to your primary.
Transmits Crystal-Clear 4K Video and Digital Audio:
To send digital audio and Ultra High Definition video to a 4K-ready HDMI or DisplayPort television, projector or monitor, connect the corresponding port to the display using an HDMI or DP cable (sold separately). The HDMI and DisplayPort ports support UHD video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) at 30 Hz. The VGA port supports high-definition resolutions up to 1920 x 1200, including 1080p, at 60 Hz. Only one display can be connected at a time. A Mini DisplayPort or DVI display may also be connected using a DP to mDP or HDMI to DVI adapter (adapters sold separately).

The USB-A hub ports accept up to four USB peripherals, such as flash drives, mice, keyboards and printers. They support fast USB 3.1 Gen 1 data transfer rates up to 5 Gbps and are backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. Two BC 1.2-compliant ports each provide up to 1.5A of fast-charging power to mobile devices.

hey everybody it's LAN Seidman and we've looked at a lot of docking stations here on the channel and you often have to decide between USB type C or a thunderbolt depending on what your computer has inside this dock I just got in from Star tech actually does both in the same unit and it will automatically figure out what you've connected and configure itself to work with whatever you plug it into that's quite a new development here this is running with a new controller from Intel that makes this happen and I think we're going to see a lot more of these coming out in the next couple of months so we're going to be taking a look at the stock we're gonna plug a whole bunch of stuff into it to see exactly what works and what doesn't and then we'll take a look at its performance as well now I do want to let you know in the interest of full disclosure at this came in free of charge through the
