hello everyone and welcome to ageing technologies today I have a short video for you about my IBM ThinkPad T 60 laptop from 2006 as of the time of filming this video in July of 2019 this laptop is now over 13 years old as it was assembled in 2006 when I purchased this laptop it didn't have an operating system and the battery was bad but I was able to remedy both of those pretty easily I installed Linux Mint 32-bit I also installed a new battery because my Linux skills are pretty weak I removed Linux and installed Windows 10 32-bit now for my favorite feature of older ThinkPads the think light this little LED mounted at the top of the screen when active shines down to illuminate the keyboard and trackpad for use in low-light environments maybe I'm just old school but I much prefer this to backlit keyboards sadly I feel lenovo has put this feature to bed the newest ink pad that I own that
