welcome to the ambient tutorials in this video we'll show you how to sync up an Ari Alexa mini to an external time code generator before we get started let's take a brief look at the required gear of course you'll need an Ari Alexa mini camera a timecode capable audio recorder with built in locket circuitry or with an external locket a locket device and a TC i/o cable the first step is to setup the Alexa mini so that it continuously takes the locket timecode for synchronization and of course for timecode press the TC button to start the process of changing the project time base go to project rate and again project rate and then choose the project time based framerate in the drop down menu then go back to the timecode menu choose options and switch the run mode to free run then select regen so the camera continuously reads the external timecode now we'll focus on setting up the genlock s
