hi i'm wayne the boat guy and in this video we're going to talk about my new portable vhf radio [Music] so when i got my new boat it didn't have a vhf radio on it i will be installing a permanent vhf radio in my boat in the future but for now i thought i'd get one of these portable ones because i also kayak and when i kayak having a portable vhf radio adds to some safety there and this one is supposed to float and be submersible as well so i bought one that we can use as a backup on the boat and use for now on the boat and then also when we go out kayaking we can take this with us not only that but having two vhf radios allows me to test my vhf radios in the future i should be able to be in one of my watercraft and call my other one and see if everything's working properly hopefully i selected this one very very carefully basically it was in stock and it was the lowest cost waterproof f
