hello and welcome to mostly vintage cameras today i wanted to take a look at a zenit et this is actually the first camera to feature on this channel and i especially wanted to use a zenith because uh as like a lot of people when i was a youth the first proper camera i had was uh was one of these uh the one i had actually was an em which is a slightly earlier version the et in some ways was meant to be uh an updated version and in some ways it was meant to be a more stripped down and economical version which is a hard trick to pull off to make it both an update and cheaper manufacturing took place between about 1981 or 82 all the way through to 1993. the first year production was in the kmz factory which is outside of leningrad and the rest of the production of vast majority was in a place i can't pronounce which may be called the volisky factory factory or volisky plant apologies to peo
