VALCOM VIP-821 Enhanced Network Trunk Port

hi everyone welcome back to CJD networking I'm Chris TV today I'm going to be talking about access ports and trunk ports on switches and explain the difference between with two to do this I'm going to also talk about VLANs a little bit I'm gonna try and keep this as basic as I can both see there are going to be words that are unavoidable so what we're going to do just briefly explain about VLANs if you don't know about them and then we can go on to talk about how they work with access and trunk ports so first of all a VLAN is a virtual LAN or a virtual local area network it's a way of separating networks across one or multiple physical devices so we've got two switches here so the top switch here has free networks going into it so if I show the first on the left here we've got our VLAN 20 for our counts here over to the right here we have our VLAN 10 for the sales department and lastly
