hello and welcome to the 741 channel thank you for stopping by today we're going to take a look at this Kenwood TS 520 that you can see here over my shoulder I recently picked this up at a ham fest it's in pretty good shape the previous owner has gone through it to some degree it does still need a little bit of work but we'll talk about that later in the video but for now let's do a quick overview and then I'll demonstrate the receiver and then we'll tune up the transmitter and see how that's working so here's a closer look at the radios front panel I'll briefly go through all the controls and features here first up we have a quarter inch headphone jack a four pin microphone connector have a mode switch this radio is capable of lower sideband upper sideband and CW only there's no a.m. or FM in this radio this button here when pushed in well tune the radio to 10 megahertz WWV for synchro
