hi there welcome to be a surface pro today's surface pro tip is how to use multiple displays with your surface [Music] whether you're using the docking station or plugging a display directly into the side of your surface using the mini DisplayPort or the USB C port you'll find that the display comes on straight away and it's probably in duplicate mode meaning that the display is replicated on both the surface and the external screens to use what we call extended desktop we need to open up the display settings in Windows there's two ways of going about this you could open up the Settings app click on system and then click on display a quick way of getting there is to just right click on your desktop and click on display settings so when you plug in your first external display looking at this display settings page you'll see that down the bottom there's a setting that says multiple displa
