hey everybody today we're going to be talking about night-vision cameras and why they get such poor color representation in the daytime and why all the colors look faded and we're also going to go over why some of the cameras seem to just totally outperform others and what the technology is it's making that happen and it's kind of exciting because we're going to take this camera apart at the end of the video and you guys are actually going to be able to see the mechanics of how one of the better cameras that has a system for blocking the infrared light during the day works so not a lot of people have actually seen that work so it'll be kind of neat first of all I'll try to make it quick the camera needs to see infrared light so that it can see at nighttime now the camera that we're shooting the video with right here it has something called an IR cut filter and it's blocking the infrared
