[Music] this is a voigtlander knockton 58mm f 1.4 the noctun f 1.4 looks like this lens just picked up from the flea market and comes from a previous era even the name sounds old but you're wrong this is a current production lens made in the casino factory in japan the same factory where color zeiss lenses are also made perhaps this already rings a bell about what quality you can expect from this lens at first the 58mm length seems a bit odd but i actually fell in love with this length it's just a little shorter than the standard 50 mil but still wide enough on the full-frame camera [Music] this lens is roughly based on the design of nikkor s lens from the late 60s including the typical rabbit ears this is a manual focus lens and with this sturdy focus ring completely made out of metal this is a joy to use i'm not a fan of a rubber focus ring it tends to collect a lot of dirt and could
