Simple to operate digital audio recorder for recording meetings, conferences, hearings, and court proceedings, and events such as music performances. The PMR61 is clearly a different type of recorder, and easy operation is the key to the PMR61 design. Users will immediately recognize the lack of buttons and switches that often introduce risk into the recording process. With a simple top panel layout consisting of only four buttons, the user has little opportunity for error. All critical setup functions are included in the touch screen menu, which not only gives immediate status during recording, but also allows for easy setup, navigation, and operation. Records MP3 or uncompressed WAV files using flexible bit rates and sampling frequencies. Auto Detect all source inputs: XLR, 1/4", RCA, 3.5mm mini stereo, and internal microphones. Record Check - automatically detects inputs, selects input sensitivities, and optimizes record levels. Auto Start Record when power comes on or audio threshold. Records to both 16GB internal solid state memory and external, removable USB drives. Simultaneous Recording records to both media simultaneously. Internal memory provides up to 4300 hours of recording time designed to minimize file sizes. Older files can be set to Auto Delete by date. PIN secure recordings and setup configuration. Charges 4 Ni-MH AA batteries internally to protect recordings in case AC power is interrupted and for remote recording. Recorded files automatically named by Date / Time and programmable User IDs. Auto-switched internal speaker / headphone output for monitoring and playback. Connects to Windows or Mac via USB for managing and distributing files.
