[Music] hi I'm Lisa Ojo Technical Support Engineer for industrial networking products at Belen and this video I'm going to show you how to configure the Hirshman switches in two simple steps in order to do this you'll need three things first you need the switches that you want to configure I have four of them right here a second you will need patch cords it could be copper or fiber unless you need a laptop running Windows or Linux which is where we're going to install the PI discovery software which we will use to set the IP addresses in the switches in my gmail Network I will set the switches I have here on my desktop as switch number one switch number two three and four and I will set the following IP addresses for each one of them so this won't be one ninety two dot one sixty eight dot one dot ten this one be the twenty thirty forty and my laptop I have set it up with one ninety two
