Today, I'll be giving a quick overview on our barcode scanner range to help you chose the appropriate scanner for your business. Our entry level scanner is the 2900, which is also referred to as a pen or a wand scanner, and like all of our scanners, the 2900 connects easily to a USB port on your computer, no additional software, no additional, no additional drivers to install whatsoever. The 2900 works great for light or occasional scanning on flat surfaces, but isn't recommended for more intensive scanning. To handle more scans, you'll want to move up to the 3900. The 3900 features a CCD scan engine, which is great for reliability, but short on range at roughly an inch. You're also limited to scanning barcodes less than 3 1/4" wide.
