hi everyone its Scott in this short video I want to show you how to take the cables from a solar setup and wire them into the inside of a vehicle like a van or a trailer using a product called a cable entry gland before we get into the details here's a quick overview of the steps clean off the rooftop with a solvent to remove any grease then drill a pilot hole in the junction box location use a step drill bit to increase the size up to the width of two cables finally prep the junction box with some mc4 connectors apply a sealant to the edges of the box and then secure it to the rooftop using a few strips of a turn upon tape let's go ahead and get our materials together for this project these items are all commonly available online but you're gonna need to use some specific terms in order to find them the first item is a cable entry gland this is also called a cable entry port and it's j
