today we are going to show you how to use an x10 home director with household appliances to begin we will go over the items that we will be using we have two lamp modules one mini controller with a wall plug one lamp bulb adapter one remote module and one home director remote control here are two lamp modules use a flat head screwdriver to set each lamp module to a letter we will be using a now set each module to a number we will set one module to the number one and the other to the number two make sure the lamp you want to set up is off unplug the lamp and plug the cord into your lamp module plug the lamp module into the wall turn on the lamp the light will not come on yet because the x10 is controlling it repeat these steps for the other lamps you want to set up now that you have connected each lamp to a module use a flathead screwdriver to set the controller to the same letter as the
