hello there and thanks for joining me I'm digital artist Aaron Rutten and in this video i'll show you my extra solid state drive hack for the Cintiq companion 2 and mobile studio pro what this does is it upgrades the storage capacity and improves the performance of my tablet so I'm using a Samsung Evo solid-state drive but you could really use any SATA 3 solid-state drive it's connected through USB with a SATA 2 USB 3.0 cable made by star tech I've mounted it to the back of the Cintiq companion stand with removable velcro strips that are made for hanging wall decor these are adhesive and they just stick on the back of the tablet and then on the back of the solid-state drive these solid-state drives are very thin and very light and they're also more durable than a traditional hard drive because they don't have any moving parts because they're so thin and light they're not very obtrusive
