in this video we're going to cover some basic mixer settings first it's important to note that everything we cover here will apply to any mixer though we are using a simplified Yamaha mixer here which is common on some of our rentals this will apply to any kind of mixer you use whether it's your own or a different one that we send out so first let's talk about zeroing out the mixer that basically means setting the mixer all of your knobs to a starting or zeroed position so that it has zero impact on the sound so you'll notice some knobs like the gain knobs are all these are all the way to the left that's common for a lot of these for an EQ for example being straight up in the middle this would be considered flat or zero so and then everything else will be to the left with the exception again of panning which dictates whether this sound is on the left or the right of the speaker so it's
