hi I'm Trevor bending from OpticsPlanet and I'm here today to talk about the Yukon Viking genuine night vision binocular line they have the Viking and the Viking tracker and this is the latter of the two and the Viking tracker is actually a waterproof night vision binocular so it's a pretty nice feature if you're a camper and outdoor enthusiast you have to worry about a little bit of rain drizzle or possibly dropping it in a puddle it's nice to have a waterproof unit like this it's a 2 by 24 so it has 2 times magnification which is perfect for all-around nighttime viewing now a Gen 1 binocular has a realistic range of about 75 to 100 yards possibly a little bit further depending on ambient light stars and moons such like that this one has an IR illuminator as most night vision units do so even in pitch black you can turn on the IR illuminator that projects an invisible beam to the naked
