Art XPatch 3-Channel XLR Patchbay

Hey guys, in this video we’re going to talk about the ART P16 sixteen channel XLR balanced patch bay. This is a simple unit for rack cases to keep organized, but it really makes a huge difference in the usability of your audio equipment. The reason I got this unit, and the reason most people will probably get it, is to make it easier to connect to microphone inputs on the back of a rack unit, without having to turn it around and work through a mess of cables. For my audio interface, I’m using a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20, and most of the inputs are on the back. This is also helpful with other units like preamps where the inputs can be on the back as well. Like I said earlier, this patch bay is very simple. It’s just a direct connection from the back to the front to make connecting things easier, so it’s not like it’s 100% necessary for things to work.
