Description
This Pier Telecom Fiber optic network patch cable with LC connectors on both tips has an orange jacket and the length os 3 Meter (10 feet). It is made of Multimode - MM Duplex fibre optics and the core diameter is 62.5 microns. The cladding diameter is 125 microns. These patch cables LC to LC can be used to sfp+ (LC connector). The multimode cable has a wide core diameter (62.5 microns) comparing to the single mode fiber patch cable (9 microns). The duplex fiber optic is a cable bulk with two pathways used for TX and RX signal. The range of a MM (multimode) optical fiber of 62.5/125 microns is around 300 meters for gigabit and until 2Km for 10/100Mb fast ethernet communication. Using a fiber optic patch cable to connect media converters or SFP modules to the fibre optic enclosure boxes (it can be rack mount 19 inches or wallmount). The main advantage of using a fiber optic patch cable is that you can change the technology without changing the fiber optic cable fusion splice. The active network component can be connected to the original pigtail and adapter of your patch panel, only changing the fiber patch cable which connects the SFP module or media converter to the fiber enclosure box.
