goody welcome to another edition of inside hoop in this video we'll break down the square plug SP 400 and SP 500 mini pancake plugs these are the smallest quarter inch pancake style soldered plugs on the market today coming in at 20 percent smaller than the well-known switch craft 228 at only eight point three millimeters they are even thinner than most solderless plugs allowing you to place pedals together in tighter spaces the SP 400 and 500 share the same dimensions so the only difference is the diameter of the cable channel the SP 400 is meant for cable with a diameter of four to four point eight millimeters while the 500 is for five to five point eight millimeters we use the SP 500 square plugs with five millimeter cable and it's a very tight and secure fit [Applause] you shouldn't use cable that's larger than the recommended size but you can use smaller cable if needed you'll just
