heyyo melissa of meli so is here with you today and today we're going to talk about a sewing basic sewing needles I get questions sometimes about what needle specifically that I've used for what project so we're today we're going to talk about when that's an important question and when you can just assume [Music] I've got an array of needles out here in front of me let's start with why this one is empty this is an eighty twelve Universal needle and ninety percent of the time this is the needle I used on my project they're not too narrow they're not too fat they fit general-purpose all-purpose thread pretty well and they're gonna sew all kinds of fabrics from wovens to knits that's why I buy them in the bigger packages and why you can see I'm down to my last one right now now on needles the numbers refer to the size of the needle and the smaller these numbers are the smaller and thinner
