Description
Larson Electronics DCP-5-CP waterproof power supply provides a safe and effective way for users to tap into and utilize 100-277 Volt AC power sources and convert this current to 12 Volts DC for use with equipment that requires 12 volt electrical power. This unit can be operated with input current ranging from 100 to 277 VAC and will output 12 Volt DC current at 5 amps. This power converter features an IP64 rated waterproof design making it suitable for indoor or outdoor use and includes integral short circuit and overload protection that will shut down the unit in case of faults and overloads to protect the unit and connected equipment from damage. This converter comes with a straight blade plug on the input lead and a cigarette plug socket on the output lead allowing users to simply plug the unit into a typical wall outlet and then connect any 12 volt equipment equipped with cigarette plug connectors. Measuring 7 inches long by 2.5 inches wide by 1.5 inches deep this unit weighs less than one pound and is mounted with two conventional screws via slots that allow removal and repositioning simply by loosening the screws. The small size and wide input voltage range of this unit make it ideal for operating equipment that requires 12VDC current indoors and anywhere 12 volt DC power is not readily available. Integrally designed protection includes overload short circuit and over voltage safeguards to prevent overheating and unit damage in case of faults or overly heavy current draw. This unit will shut down when an over current fault is encountered and automatically resume operation once the fault is repaired or removed. When an over voltage condition is encountered the unit will shut down and recovers when manually turned back on. This power converter has a -20 / +60C operating temperature range and is UL 1310 Class 2 and CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 223-M91 rated.

Product review & video
hey guys today I'm going to show you how to pick out the correct AC DC adapter this is a very specific and important process that requires four major pieces of information to be successful using this particular product I'm going to show you the things you need to know and where to find them as well as a general idea of what they mean so let's get started and I'll show you what to look for now we'll take a look at the power supply here in a minute if you have that but if you don't this product tells us all four things we need the voltage the amperage the polarity and voltage type and why we would have to measure for it the plug type or size let's talk ACDC a C stands for alternating current and comes from the wall anything that plugs straight in is AC if it requires an adapter it will convert either AC to a lower AC voltage or AC to DC direct current flows in one direction and AC alterna
