Description
Waxwing is an easy to use FPGA module featuring Xilinx Spartan-6 FPGA. This module features Xilinx XC6SLX series FPGA in CSG324 package. This module takes care of FPGA, Configuration, DDR and power so you can invest more time and effort on your application specific aspects of the hardware development. The module is pre-populated with 512Mb DDR memory and 128Mb SPI flash for FPGA configuration. A large number of IOs and important signals including JTAG are available on the high pin count low profile connectors (DF40C-90DP) on the back side of the module. Numato has made available carrier boards and development boards that can be used for evaluation and development with this FPGA module. At only 40mm x 36.5mm size, this module packs a lot of power in such a small footprint. Customization services available for OEM customers. Please contact us for more details.

Product review & video
hey guys thought I'd do a quick review of an FPGA development board that I've been working with recently this is a Amato lab me miss v2 FPGA development board so first up if you're not familiar with what an FPGA is it's this chip here and essentially what it does is it lets you design digital circuits on your computer download them to the chip and this chip essentially becomes that circuit obviously in practice it's a bit more complicated than that but that's the concept this is a spartan 6l x9 chip by his Linux so as Linux is the company that develops it Spartan 6 is the generation of chip and LX 9 is the size of it obviously the bigger the chip the bigger the design you can put on it this is an Alex 9 so they range from Analects 4 up to an LX 150 so it's on the lower end of the range but it's certainly capable for driving the board like this and there's some quite complex designs you
